Bible, Beauty, Become HER
Sis, be honest— you did the skin routine. You got your hair done. You’re eating better, dressing better, and you even smell like vanilla, cashmere, and answered prayers.
But why do you still look in the mirror and feel… meh? Why do compliments feel empty? Why is that deep "I’m HER" energy still missing?
Let’s talk about it, Sistar. From one woman to another.
The Glow-Up Doesn’t Fix the Gap
Here’s the truth no one says loud enough:
A glow-up that starts outside will never reach the parts of you that feel empty inside.
You can’t contour away shame. You can’t exfoliate insecurity out of your soul.
The "I’m still not enough" voice will whisper even louder when you look better but feel worse.
Why? Because beauty that’s not anchored in identity becomes a never-ending performance.
You're not trying to be beautiful. You're trying to prove you are.
And girl, we don’t have time for that.
You’ve Been Taught to Perform, Not Receive
We grew up thinking beauty = validation.
You were taught that beauty is how well others respond to you—not how deeply you believe what God says about you. So your glow-up becomes a mission. To finally be chosen. To finally be seen. To finally feel like you’re the one.
But let me ask you this:
If beauty is only validated when someone else says it, then what happens when they don’t?
You shrink. You question. You start over.
You’re Looking in the Wrong Mirror
Let’s take it to the Word, because God’s mirror hits different:
“Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” – Psalm 34:5
You’ve been staring at the mirror that reflects back culture’s expectations.
But sis, the real glow starts when you stare at the mirror of the Word. It’s not your foundation shade. It’s your foundation in Christ. That’s what makes you shine.
You’re Beautiful. You Just Don’t Believe It Yet.
Let me say this slowly:
Beauty isn’t something you chase. It’s something you carry.
You are the image of God. You were hand-crafted with intention. You are not pretty by accident, you are purposefully radiant.
The problem isn’t that you’re not beautiful. It’s that you’re not speaking to yourself like you are. You’ve outsourced your worth to strangers. But beauty is an inside job—with divine evidence.
So What’s the Fix?
I could give you affirmations, mirror talk tips, or makeup hacks—but honestly? That’s the surface stuff.
What you need is a new belief system.
And that’s the journey we take inside Becoming the Wise and Virtuous Woman, where beauty, identity, and purpose align. This is not just a book. It is a mirror that helps you see yourself through God’s eyes. And if you want to go even deeper:
